A clean sweep of doubles competition propelled Episcopal Academy to a 5-2 Inter-Ac League win over Baldwin.
No. 1 Eliza Aldridge and Cara Harty and No. 3 Natalie Johnson and Madison Hanseens won 6-0, 6-0 for the Churchwomen. Ashley Kennedy was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at first singles.
In the Central League:
Haverford 4, Penncrest 3 >> The Lions won all three singles matches, but the Fords stormed back to take the win by sweeping in doubles.
Jonie Medford and Maddie Williams, Varsha Rajan and Cate Fox, Catherine Corbett and Hallie Farr, and Laura Cunningham and Ella Fedor all won in straight sets for Haverford.
Skylar Smith and Jazleen Gill were 6-0, 6-0 winners at first and second singles, respectively, for Penncrest. Korin Aiken rallied to win at the No. 3 match 0-6, 7-6 (8-6), 10-6.
In nonleague action:
Springfield 4, Academy Park 1 >> Mia Graci and Sha’Xaria Gordon triumphed in singles competition for the Cougars, who also got winning efforts by doubles Kaitlin Siddons and Brian Hemphill as well as Liz Turner and Danielle Treen.
Akiama Rogers won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Knights.
Radnor 7, W.C. Rustin 0 >> Kanon Ciarrocchi, Bridget Dougherty and Lucy Hederick won their singles matches in straight sets. No. 2 doubles Grace Frigerio and Mia Xie cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win.
