Lee sisters overpower PV, lift Owen J. Roberts

Owen J. Roberts 6, Perkiomen Valley 1 >> Meredith Lee and Elaina Lee produced straight set victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, as the Wildcats topped the Vikings in league play.

Lee didn’t drop a game in her 6-0, 6-0 defeat of PV’s Tasminr Morris while Elaina Lee had no trouble with PV’s Allison Newman, topping her 6-0, 6-2.

The doubles duo of Jen Weston and Erica Gratton shined for OJR, defeating PV’s Meghan Sahasrabuddhe and Brooke Ozere 6-0, 6-0.

PV’s Sana Kewalramani and Vee Mishra picked up the team’s only win in second doubles.

Baldwin 6, Phoenixville 1 >> Julia Gumieniak had the Phantoms’ best showing in a non-conference loss against the Bears.

Gumieniak, Phoenixville’s No. 1 singles, beat Emma Sass 0-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-5 for her team’s lone win. The doubles pair of Susan Duncan/Amanda Monachelli lost 6-2, 6-2 to Dagny Tepper/Caroline Bucnher.

Daniel Boone 7, Reading 0 >> The Blazers won all but one singles pairings in straight sets as they swept the Red Knights in Berks Conference play.

The best individual showing for Boone Josie Reinhardt’s 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. Reading defaulted both doubles matches.

Hill School 5, Westtown 0 >> The Blues easily moved past Westtown School in non-conference play.

Enbei Zhang set the tone with a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 1 singles while Ally Maner followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win followed by Katie Sciales 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. The first doubles pair of Marianna Xiong/Eda Ozbay won 6-1, 6-0.
